Where do prom and bridal shop owners buy their designer dresses?
I am curious, and i cannot seem to find it any where. Do they buy them at trunk shows?
I am just wondering how they get them i was wondering if it was cheaper if they bought them directley through the company or if they pay the same price as everyone else
What do you mean exactly? Most bridal dresses are made to order so the shop owners don't buy a lot of inventory. When a bride comes in, she'll try on some floor samples and the shop will send her measurements to the manufacturer. After the dress is made, they will send it to the shop and to the customer.
From what I hear, prom dresses are a little different. Each dress is made in limited sizes and quantities and some shops will buy them from the manufacturer for their store. If the store runs out, they can try to put in an order with the manufacturer but it doesn't guarantee the dress will be back in stock.
