Anyone had a "tufted bustle?"?
I have a white satin pick-up gown, and at each spot it was "picked-up" there is a little jewel applique. I found this website where they talked about bustling a pick up gown using a tufted buste.

my skirt on my gown is very similar to the one pictured, so I know how it would look- but has anyone else ever had it done? I need to know anything I can about it, so I can hunt for a seamstress who can do it.

I had one- the seamstress at David's did it for me, and it looked terrific. I don't think it cost a whole lot more than a regular bustle (but honestly I don't remember how much it was). Search around, find someone who is comfortable doing it, and be open to the idea that it might look better another way. My seamstress tried a few different things (with pins) before she was happy with the way it looked, and I trusted her knowledge.
