Ok, I have a custom firmware on my PSP called 4.01 M33-2. I found a bunch of fresh XMB waves and I know how to put them on my PSP. First I rename system_plugin_bg.rco and I put them in the file flash0 in the resources folder. How do I change the background is black so my custom waves appear? Thank you!

change settings theme, if that dosent work. Change the 01-12.bmp 0 in the flash player. Remember to backup when Bricking.
