Our English teacher my ten quality classes to a question on the novel Lord of the Flies ... What does Golding done by the repetition of pink / red and blue / white? Nobody in our class has no clue whatsoever. It does not repeat this many, conch, rocks, blood horizon, parachute, eyes, flowers, water ... But nothing seems to make much sense. Anyone have any kind of idea?

Pink symbolizes the innocence of children at the beginning of the book rocks are pink to show they know nothing about the real world, but later when they kill Piggy and Simon, they become red and pink in the blood of the conch means democracy
