What's the best way to start a new Magic: The Gathering collection/make a White/Black deck?
I've played MTG several times with other people's decks, and I'm now looking to start a collection of my own. Preferably, I want to make a White/Black deck (and not spend a ton of money in process). What's the best way to start a collection for building a deck like this?
get on eBay, buy someone's massive card collection. You can usually get a good deal, and keep an eye out for cards from Urza's block, since some of those cards are really overpowered. As for black/white, hit up Odyssey block clerics and Ravnica Orzhov cards. You may want to try some preconstructed decks, just so you can get a feel for deckbuilding, then start tweaking those to your liking. You can probably get the eBay order and the preconstructed decks all for $50 or less. Basic Lands are easily found in a large bin at your local card shop for about 10 cents each. I'd only go buy those if I was short a specific type for a build. Good luck!!!!
