How to turn a yellowish dress back to white?
I have this white dress with a bit of brown lace along the cleavage and light blue flowers here and there. It got yellowish and thought of washing it with some Vanish. But when I read the Vanish label it seemed like it was only designed for laundry that's 100% white, like socks and sheets. I guess a product like Vanish could fade the other colours besides the white?
Any tips on how to make the dress white again?
I am surprised that a Vanish product would say that. Vanish is an "all color bleach" like Biz, Chlorox 2 or any other. The dress may be fine if you soak it in the sink with a scoop of all color bleach well dissolved in the water. It should not be too aggressive on the lace or the flowers but will "hopefully" brighten the white area to a better level. Check your product and if it is not all color bleach or color safe bleach" go and get some.
